Why are we having to move to a Membership Fee Model?
We have run this community initiative for 22 months, totally FOC, and, as gratifying as it has been, we cannot continue with this model.
- We want to pay High Mead Farm as they have graciously given us FOC facilities for nearly 2 years.
- We need to pay for some essentials on a regular basis:
- new tools
- ongoing PAT testing
- tool repairs
- key volunteers renumerations/expences
- communications/online development/hosting costs
- associated professional services/legal/insurance/accounting
- incidentals/sundries
- hidden cost associated with becoming a registered “Charitable Incorporated Organisation” (CIO) – Foundation Model.
